An endless variety of surf breaks around the world offer surfers a never-ending smorgasbord of cultural and wave-riding experiences. Over the course of time, each break develops its own lore, attracts its own devotees and establishes its characteristics in the surfer pecking order. TSJ's second video series entitled Great Waves dissects selected breaks from primary regions of the surfing world, creating a sampler that reflects the complexity of them all. Each installment weaves a story around a particular region's waves and their influence on that culture; including interviews, historic and recent footage, and an intelligently written, opinionated narration.
